Workouts Library

Sharing Workouts and FIT Downloads

Coaches can publish a workout to the athletes they coach, and anyone can download a workout as a FIT file for a head unit or watch.

Once you've found or built a structured workout, you can get it onto your device or into your athletes' libraries. There are two ways to share a workout out of Aithlo: publishing to athletes you coach, and downloading a FIT file.

Sharing with athletes you coach

If you coach other athletes, you can publish a workout straight to them. The workout appears in the athlete's library so they can open it, follow its structure and download it themselves.

This makes the library a simple way to assign a specific session — pick or build the workout once, then share it with the athletes who need it.

A few things to know:

  • Sharing to athletes is a coaching capability. You need an active coaching relationship with the athlete first.
  • Coaching others requires an Ultimate or Ultimate+ tier, which includes athlete seats.
  • For how relationships, seats and messaging work, see coaching athletes.

FIT download

Any workout can be exported as a FIT file, the standard structured-workout format used by bike computers and sports watches. Download the workout, transfer the file to your device, and the intervals and targets come with it — so your head unit or watch can guide you through warmup, main set and cooldown step by step.

This is the bridge between Aithlo and the device on your handlebars or wrist:

  • Head units — load the FIT workout onto a compatible cycling computer to ride structured intervals outdoors or on a turbo.
  • Watches — send it to a compatible sports watch for guided runs, rides or swims.

FIT download works for both your personal workouts and public-catalog ones, so you can take any session in the library out into the real world.

Choosing how to train a workout

You now have a few ways to actually do a workout:

  • On your device — download the FIT file and follow it on your head unit or watch.
  • In the virtual world — ride rideable bike and run sessions inside Shift.
  • Back to the library — browse and reopen any saved session in browsing the workouts library.

Between sharing and FIT export, a structured workout never has to stay stuck inside the app.
