Coaching
Coaching Athletes
Coach other athletes inside Aithlo: hold athlete seats, view their training data, message them, and share coach codes for discounted Pro access.
If you're a coach, Aithlo lets you take on other athletes inside the same app you already train in. You can see their training data, message them directly, and guide their plans.
What you need to coach
Coaching others is an Ultimate / Ultimate+ capability. A Pro account can be coached, but to hold athlete seats and coach you need to be on Ultimate or higher. See Subscription and tiers for the full comparison.
Athlete seats
Your coaching capacity is measured in athlete seats. Both Ultimate and Ultimate+ include 5 athlete seats, and you can add extra seats if you coach more people than that. Each active athlete relationship occupies one seat, so choose how many seats to hold based on your roster.
Finding and accepting athletes
From the coaching area you can search for athletes by username and send them a request, or accept requests they send you. Relationships are grouped by role so it's easy to tell your athletes apart from any coaches you work with yourself. You can accept, decline, or end a relationship at any time.
Working with each athlete
Once a relationship is active, you get the tools to actually coach:
- View their training data — see an athlete's activities, plan, and progress so your guidance is grounded in real numbers.
- Message them 1:1 — each athlete has a direct message thread with read receipts and unread counts.
- Set their coaching mode — switch an athlete between coach-led (AI auto-plans) and self-led (manual) per relationship.
These are the same relationship tools described from the athlete's side in Working with a human coach.
Coach codes
As a coach you can share a coach code with an athlete. Redeeming it gives that athlete Pro at half price (€6 instead of €12), which makes it easy to bring someone onto an eligible tier so you can coach them. Coach codes are an Ultimate-tier capability — the code changes the price of Pro, not the features the athlete gets.
A coach code is a discount, not a feature unlock. The athlete still receives the standard Pro feature set, just at a reduced price.
